What will happen if there is an actual fire while the fire alarms are being tested?

Good question, during an occupancy check, the alarm is tested multiple times, with the Fire Department in attendance, usually actively participating in the test if not running it. So if there was an actual fire the members at the scene could extinguish it or call for more resources if needed, and the building is not yet occupied so there would not be any life hazard.
