A modestly sized used car of any brand.
But, be smart now. This country is full of used car outlets.
They all sell the cars that no dealer wants. These cars are from automobile auctions.
Be smart, go to the brand that you like, any of the Korean or Japanese brands are the best. Then pick up a used car in the new-car dealer’s used-car lot.
A new car dealer will only keep THE BEST of the trade ins. They then sell it to you. You get a good used car that you like and - will be back in a year, or so - buying another car from them.
Also, most new-car dealers will give you a short, but still worthy, warranty on the used car they sold you.
A new car dealer, selling you a used car, may offer you a loan at 5 % - 8 % annual interest rate. That is acceptabele.
Be smart.
No private purchase
Buy no car that you are shown in the street.
Buy no car where the seller is hesitant about testing it.
Buy no car unless you have seen the “ownership extract” form the licence burau. - You may be buing ONE car that is put together from TWO crashed cars.
Do not - ever - get financing from a used car dealer. You may be paying VERY high interest rate, sometimes 25 % to 70 % on an annualized rate. (Believe me - that is done.) A used car dealer is only your best friend until you have driven the car out. Then he’ll never talk to you again.
Be smart, buy a used car from a new-car dealer.
P.S. For the best deal, buy a Honda from a Toyota dealer, or vice-versa. The dealer will keep a VERY good car from a different brand, even if it is not their own. You want the best, not the “cheapest”.
There are no “good” used car deals. You get what you pay for. Pay “a little” and you get “trouble”.
