Upcoming firewall feature vs non-root adblockers

~2 weeks ago, developers announced an upcoming firewall feature for Android, and it looks like it will rely on establishing a VPN connection with localhost to achieve this feature. This makes sense because of how Android works, but it's also under the restriction that only one VPN connection can be established at once.

This may be a problem for users with system-wide ad blockers.
There are those that require root and modify the hosts file directly (Adaway), and there are others that don't need root and instead rely on a VPN for localhost (NetGuard, DNS66). The latter group could not work simultaneously with Glasswire with the application firewall enabled.

With a little bit of desire, the ideal solution to this problem might be that Glasswire also adds additional ad blocking features to its Android app. This may be a problem with Google and their Play Store guidelines, but I would like to point you to the NetGuard solution 18 years old
They have a regular firewall app in PlayStore without any ad blocking features and an apk with ad blocking enabled on GitHub. They are signed with the same certificate, and in-app purchases from the Play Store version also work with the downloaded apk.
I know this is a "hack" and you probably don't want to do it, but please think about how many of your users are already using adblocker and how it will play with the upcoming firewall feature on Android. They will be forced to choose between one of these two local VPNs.

I've heard about this change, but to be honest, I wasn't too interested in details about it. I don't know how efficient it is, but we are waiting to see the result. Overall, I think it will bring quite a lot of benefits. I hope it will not have such a big influence on adblock or their operation. Because I've seen some comments from some users that may have some effect on chrome adblocks. If I'm honest, I don't know how true this is. Finally, I use some very good adblocks from this list https://thinkmobiles.com, and I think they will have no effect.
