Question for hunters, or owners of weapons

Night vision or Thermal optics? Has anyone tried either or both?
I am leaning towards thermal since it works both in the daylight, low light, foggy and night time conditions whereas night vision is mainly just for that and won't help in heavy smoke or fog.
Any brands recommended or ones I should stay away from?
Thanks.

If you have money of course I recommend to buy thermal scope. Personally, I have got thermal night vision by ATN(https://www.atncorp.com/thermal-scope-thor-hd).

You can easily switch from a daytime scope to thermal imaging. It's the best device I've ever owned.
