Photography school...Is it worth it?

How many of you have taken a photography course or two? Was it worth the time and effort? Did you learn quite a bit? Is the course paying off?

I guess yes! Photography is a skill. You can't develop any skills I'm aware of to a high degree without a teacher. Books are good, and you can learn a lot from books, but a book can't look at your photo and make suggestions about what you should do differently next time. Also lots of practicing helps. Experiment a lot, use custom event lighting to get great results.
