Guys, My question is what are the main things that should be done for marketing an item? I have acquired some.

Cold calling
Lead Generation
Local Marketing
Reputation management
Direct Mail

Well, you have added most of the techniques but I guess you have missed some killer techniques as well. Anyways I am sharing one of the killer technique and that is: Visiting your customer directly. Its a very effective method that I have known from my practical experience.

That is quite impressive. You can get a lot of advantage from this method.

Meeting in person is very powerful. I don't do it every day but it is a part of what I do. I refer to it as my "Drop In" method of prospecting. I also do all of the items listed above as well.

The main thing is to not be wasting time learning things (I am an addict and have to throttle myself at times) and spend your time truly prospecting and finding the golden nuggets.

I am totally agree with you Alan. I think Visiting customers directly is a great way of offline marketing besides others offline marketing methods. I also want to add some more. I think Refreshing the old marketing techniques, Consuming benefit of modern technology, Making an investment in mobile applications etc can also be helpful Offline Marketing Techniques for any offline marketer.

I think one can use bulletins, newspapers, flyers, Direct Mail and Different Loyalty Programs for marketing their business. I hope these methods will help to get more clients for the business. I didn't use pamphlets for marketing purpose. Would you please explain me about pamphlets in case of marketing? How Can I use it? Is it an effective marketing option? It should contain the exact information in which users have interest. If you have any special offers, discounts or sale then such tings can attract customers. So you can include them while making the flyers/pamphlets.

Pamphlets and direct mail are an excellent way of marketing if your target audience is small. Since people have a general aversion to spam emails the chances of them opening a direct mail is higher. I can say this from my own experience. Whenever I have organized a sale or an exhibition in my shop the promotions were done through bulk mailing services, pamphlets and flyers. They are a very good way of getting leads, and I suggest that you try them.
