People go for luxury designer handbags because they like their designs and materials. Of course, some of them want to show others how successful they are by carrying those luxury items. As someone who just dropped thousands on a Louis Vuitton bag, I think LV bag is not worth its retail price. According to what I read in an article, people can easily get that LV design and similar materials from a high-quality Louis Vuitton knockoff which costs only one-tenth of the real price. So basically, people are just paying for the brand's name. I think I should have spent the money more wisely when it comes to designer handbags. Anyway, we live and we learn.
