Cold Calling and Emailing

I am going to start my cold calling and emailing campaign. I just want to know, How many times can I cold call a certain business or email them and not get into problems?

Do you guys have a idea on how many companies, you continually cold call or email, without getting into difficulty?
I would appreciate if you share your experience.

I don't do much cold emailing because I don't find it effective enough.

For calling, the purpose of your call is to get that conversation with the decision maker. So you call as many times as you have to to get that conversation to qualify them In or Out.

I generally call every other day. But I have a system so that I usually get a high probability time to call back to encounter the prospect and have that conversation, so it typically only takes 3 or 4 attempts tops. If we don't connect after 4 tries, I call reception back and try to get a better time out of them (maybe things changed--and I frequently have gatekeepers tell me things like, "Oh, he was away on a trip all last week!"--info they could have given me before, but didn't think to because I'm not that important in their world.)

As Jason Kanigan stated, we need to have a good conversation. Until you get that conversation you can call as much times as you want. At first call you will tell him (decision maker) about your offer and of course he will take some time from you to think about your offer. Before ending the call you just ask him when you will call them again? Note it down and call back them on the given time. If they are interested then they will of course response to your 2nd call.

If they don't response then just leave them and go for another. Don't bother them anymore.

Thanks a lot for your kind response and your information. You have told here that you have a system to get high probability time to call back to encounter the prospect and have conversation. Would you please share more information about your system? I hope it will help the offline marketers for their cold calling. :)
