Reputation Management Vs. Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

I am new in reputation management. I know that Online Reputation Management and SEO, uses similar tactics but each has a different goal. I want to know more about SEO and Reputation Management.
Is Reputation Management and SEO same? Why? Waiting for important tips on it.

I don't think SEO and Online Reputation Management are same. Its true that while managing online reputation of a website or a business you have to say good thinks of that business or website on any high authority site which is treated as a backlink but that doesn't mean you are doing SEO.

The high authority sites are standalone and doesn't care about SEO (pagerank, index, backlinks), its search engine who values them to hold their popularity.

Simply put, Online Reputation Management is SEO and Content Marketing on steroids!
