Promoting business through Postcards

Guys,

Have anyone tried to promote their local businesses though postcards? I haven't tried yet but got this idea today morning after receiving a postcard from BanglaLion Wimax. Its a internet service provide, I use internet from them. I would love to know if anyone of OMF get success promoting their business through postcards.
