Is Cold Calling need anymore?

We know that cold calling is a rapid and affordable way to attempt to get leads and to produce some sales for your products. I really dislike bothering people though and trying to make a sales message if they would have no attention. Thankfully, for my own business, there actually is not a need for cold calling. I feel that call calling can only benefit the people without a heart and soul. Cold calling is something people only do for the money so therefore no reactions or any emotion is engaged. I do not believe in cold calling and I hope it will not proceed in the long run.

What do you think about it?

My true opinion is they no one likes cold calling but without it how will customers know what you have for things to service them. I have to say that cold calling seems like a bother but on the other hand with out it you may never know about some services.

Jason hit the nail right on the head.

The vast majority that call me lose me within the first 30 seconds. If you can get me interested in that time you can keep me on the phone for a full discussion. And if I can be shown how your product or service will solve my problems I may just buy.

As for cold calling being needed of course the answer is yes but it is not the only method of prospecting and I would never suggest any company just use one method. You should use any and all marketing methods that produce a positive ROI.

My original post was accidentally deleted, so I'll try to remember what I said in there.

First, switch the language. Don't call it "cold calling." That term creates a visceral reaction in your mind and body that is unpleasant and blocks you from proceeding. Start calling it "prospecting." Like the panners for gold in the gold rushes, you are prospecting for clients.

Second, prospecting calls are absolutely necessary because they are a FAST way of reaching potential clients and SORTING them.

Third, most calls are begun so badly, there IS no "rest of the call" (this is what Aaron was referring to above).

The job of company owners, presidents & CEOs is to SELL. If you look at companies run by people who came up through the accounting or operations channel, you'll see stagnant firms. Sales creates growth, and those people who view themselves as the "top dog" must learn how to sell effectively. Making prospecting calls is part of that skillset. If you are a business owner but don't know how to engage and talk to other business owners, how long do you think you're going to last?

Yes, It is necessary to talk with other business owners. Do you have any idea to make the prospecting calls(as you want to say) successful for marketing purpose?

The purpose of prospecting calls is to Sort prospects In to your opportunity, or Out of it. How to do it? Watch this. This video has helped thousands of people. It's proven technique and is part of my programs.

(Every time I see this vid, I miss my little log farmhouse in rural North Carolina--we lived there a year. Even though it didn't have central heating, it was a neat place with 3 acres and had been a vet's place so was set up for dog boarding. We had a lot of fun with the hustle and bustle of dogs being dropped off and picked up...nice side biz.)

I have watched your video and will try to do so as you has suggested. Some terms are totally new to me which I am trying to figure it out but if I fail then I will knock you, ok?
