Importance of SEO in 2015

As we know that Google has stopped announcing their Algorithmic updates and it also tries to say that we should avoid link-building for websites.

So, What should an SEO professional do? Is SEO dead?

Still, there is a lot for an SEO professional to do. Drop your old link-building techniques and go with these some of the methods:

1. Power Point sharing, Video Promotion, Image Sharing etc
2. Track Discovered Links of Your Competitor’s Content and Website
3. Link to other blogs on your blog
4. Create Linkable Content Assets i.e Web 2.0
5. Set up an RSS feed for your blog.
6. Do some news-jacking
7. Local Listings

I don't think SEO is dead. Googles just always making changes and we must adapt :drag:

Google always changes SERP algorithms to make sure the more appropriate website comes first in search result, but they were doing mistake by announcing about their algorithms publicly. I think, to make google as a best search engine they should not publish their algorithmic changes.

And about the SEO is, SEO can't be dead yet. SEO professionals should now focus on quality contents, focus on on-page optimization, not just meta keyword, meta content, the whole articles of the website should be meaningful, not just bunch of crap.
