How much of you think that cold calling still works?

Guys, is cold calling still works as a potential offline marketing source? I am asking this cause I have received some calls from my cellphone service provider and do you know what they tell after calling? They just run a recorded script which was totally annoying to me. Since then I don't receive those calls. If the cold caller calls with such a crap script then will they able to get any lead? I don't think so.............

So how much of you think that cold calling still works?

Hello Alan, Cold calling is a rapid and affordable way to attempt to get leads and to produce some sales for your products. I think It's a great way of marketing for getting know the consumers about your services and products. I am sharing some part of their reply here-

My true opinion is they no one likes cold calling but without it how will customers know what you have for things to service them. I have to say that cold calling seems like a bother but on the other hand with out it you may never know about some services.

As for cold calling being needed of course the answer is yes but it is not the only method of prospecting and I would never suggest any company just use one method. You should use any and all marketing methods that produce a positive ROI.

Second, prospecting calls are absolutely necessary because they are a FAST way of reaching potential clients and SORTING them.

We at our organization (top architects in Dubai) do not prefer cold calling. This used to work about 4-5 yrs ago. But in 2020, this is considered as spam calling. There are apps like TrueCaller which automatically detects and blocks spam calls. So, we prefer social media marketing like paid ads on Fb and Instagram.

I completely agree with you. Rather I focus on organic traffic on my website (German auto spare parts in Dubai). For that I get SEO for the website. And that works very well for me.

Companies just need to be strategic about how it fits into their overall demand generation strategy. Cold calling is still an incredibly effective way to connect with prospects if you stay informed on who your buyers are, how they buy, and how you can solve their problems
