I personally feel like when people are trying to contact businesses via email, a
"personal touch" is needed and, as funny as this might sound, it shouldn't look like an automated email that a gazillion companies other are also probably receiving at the same time. But as hard as this is, most people fail to realize that and their emails end up in the companies' spam folders.
If you are contacting a company by email, take your time to research about the company. Find out about the company's merits, demerits, achievements, losses and most importantly, how it could use the services that you are offering and benefit from them.
Highlight it in the email and you would have a deal in your hands in no time!
